Dr. Sarah Zeiser has a BA in Medieval Studies from Smith College and an AM and PhD in Celtic Languages & Literatures and Medieval Studies from Harvard University, where she is currently an Associate of the Department of Celtic Languages & Literatures and Manager of Special Projects in the Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning (VPAL). While writing her dissertation “Latinity, Manuscripts, and the Rhetoric of Conquest in Late-Eleventh-Century Wales,” she held fellowships at the Institute of Historical Research at the University of London and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
Dr. Zeiser is a higher education leader with over 15 years of experience in academic administration, driving high-priority, cross-functional initiatives for senior leadership. With a proven record serving as a trusted advisor and thought partner to deans and vice provosts, she has led complex special projects from strategy through execution, improving administrative systems, processes, and operations, and coordinating work across Schools and administrative units. She has been recognized with the FAS Dean’s Distinction Award for outstanding citizenship, collaboration, and exceptional contribution in support of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at Harvard.
Most recently, Dr. Zeiser was invited to speak at the Oxford Celtic Research Seminar (February 2026) and was the Keynote Lecturer at the 44th Harvard Celtic Colloquium (October 2025).
